“What Happened to the Deer?” focuses on the biodiversity of Geyikbayırı in Antalya. This question points not only to the ecology of a region but also to the domineering relationship humans have established with nature. It aims to make the invisible visible through the species that inhabit, live within, and above the streams; and to transform loss into a record by tracing local possibilities.

This work was created for the exhibition “On the Surface’s Shell,” curated by Melike Bayık and held as part of Green House Art Days (Antalya/Geyikbayırı) on October 4–5, 2025.
