This project is an attempt to reverse the way how the media demonstrates and presents violence which has become almost a routine of everyday life. The project, based on the reinterpretation of the content and visuals of the news on violence, is a criticism to transforming the victim of violence into a mediatic show object. Therefore, the figures in the frames point to a situation where those who commit the crime are directly visible instead of the victim, as opposed to what is presented to us in the media.
These paintings, created by the disclosure of the offender, are fed on the tension caused by the absence of the victim. The interrogative attitude towards the news on violence abused with populist comments in newspapers aims to raise awareness about violence exploitation with the newspaper replicas by ink which accompany the paintings.
